Reaching Our Cities for the LORD

You and your people are cordially invited to a preachers Fellowship on Tuesday March 19 at 10:00 AM at Straightway. Breakfast will be served from 9:00-9:45 and we would love to have you for that as well.

The theme of the meeting will be ‘Reaching Our Cities for the LORD’. The meeting will feature the preaching of Evangelist John Barnes, Pastor Burton Gates and Pastor Emeritus Vic Rivera. Lunch will be served at 1:00PM

The early New Testament church was charged with world evangelism in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel (and someday the capital of the world). As the Gospel message was spread throughout Israel, churches were started in major population centers and eventually the exemplary missions minded church at Antioch was started by Barnabas (sent from Jerusalem). It was from that great church that Saul (Paul), Barnabas and John Mark (from Jerusalem) left to embark on their first missionary journey. If you study the evangelization and church planting in Asia minor and Europe, you can’t help but notice that it was teams of men, sent by various churches, that the LORD used to spearhead these church planting efforts. That is the model we should adopt, if we are to see cities shaken for Christ. The LORD could use several people and several churches if our goal is the Glory of God!
