Trenton Gospel Crusade
A Gospel Crusade in the city of Trenton, New Jersey, kicking off in May of 2024.
The Mission
In May of 2024, Evangelist John Barnes of New England for Christ and like-minded Independent Churches all over the Northeast and beyond are deciding to support, assist, and pray for Pastor Lou Guarneri and Straightway Baptist Church in conducting a Gospel Crusade in the capitol city of Trenton, New Jersey. Some of these supporting churches are thinking that their city/town could be next.
Once an industrial powerhouse in the Northeast, many consider Trenton to be characterized by spiritual and material decay. What Trenton needs now more than anything else is the Gospel of the LORD Jesus Christ.
This is a city-wide Gospel Crusade with the goal of saturating the city with the Gospel and establishing a new inner-city work in May of 2024.
APRIL 15 - MAY 19, 2024
Gospel Campaign
An all-encompassing and thorough Gospel outreach campaign, which includes hanging Gospel tracts, John/Romans and Crusade invitations on every door in the City, after mailing invitations to every resident, plus tons of personal work.
MAY 13 - 17, 2024
Tent Gospel Crusade
Starting at 6:00 PM every evening (Monday to Friday), Gospel Meetings will begin. The GPS address is 1001 West State Street in Trenton, NJ. It is on the edge of Cadwalader park and across State Street from Arthur Holland Junior High School. Services will include a full choir, congregational singing, testimonies, Gospel preaching, and invitations. We are also planning a Children's Bible hour at 4:00 PM each day and an MMA/Self Defense Gospel training session for teens and above.
MAY 19, 2024
Trenton Baptist Church
We anticipate opening the doors of a new church plant or church extension of Straightway Baptist (until a Pastor is selected) in Trenton, NJ on May 19th, 2024. This church will be an independent, KJB, Christ-centered, Bible-based, soulwinning, missions minded, sin hating, devil fighting Baptist church.

How to Pray for the Gospel Crusade
Laborers & Finances
Please pray for the laborers (especially a Pastor for Trenton Baptist Church) and finances to reach these targets for the Glory of God. Approximately $40,000 is needed for the Crusade and $25,000 is needed for the Trenton Baptist Church Startup.
Gospel Services
Please pray for the evening (6:00PM) services, that they will be blessed with a complete and capable choir (led by Pastor Bryan Miller), testimonies, and powerful unto salvation, Gospel preaching; all under the tent on West State Street on the edge of Cadwalader park. Please pray that we conduct powerful and heartwarming outdoor Gospel preaching services each night of the Crusade (May 13-17).
Invitations
Please pray as we invite every resident of Trenton to the Gospel Tent Crusade and Grand Opening of Trenton Baptist Church via door-to-door (32,000 residences) and EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail).
Church Plant
Please pray for a new church plant or church extension starting on May 19, 2024, in Trenton, NJ.
Giving Update
As of today April 3rd, 2024, $29,000 has been generously given to the Crusade. PRAISE THE LORD!! We are projecting a need of $40,000.

The following churches have given over $6000 to the church plant and Knotty Oak Baptist in Providence is giving $125/month to the church plant

JOHN/ROMANS DISTRIBUTION
32,000 copies of John/Romans are being assembled by various churches through the Seedline ministry of Bearing Precious Seed headed by Brother Scott Sandy. Jersey Shore Baptist (Pastor Phil Erickson), Riverdale Baptist (Pastor Tim Flynn), First Baptist of Georgetown, De. and Riverside Baptist in Auburn Maine have assembled the 32,00 John/Romans for us. Every door in Trenton will receive, in a door hanger bag, a copy of John & Romans from the King James Bible along with an illustrated, easy to read and understand, Chick Gospel tract (provided by First Baptist in Caldwell NJ) and an invitation (see above) to the Crusade and church plant. Riverdale Baptist (Pastor Tim Flynn) is assembling 12,000 of these for the Crusade. We praise the LORD for this ministry and labor of love.
